Welcome to Dennis Earl Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year! We are excited to meet all of our new students and to welcome back our returning Explorers.

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and will be a minimum day for 1st-6th grade and TK-2nd grade Special Day Classes, with a dismissal time of 11:49 AM.

(Normal dismissal time is at 2:39 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.)

***TK/K students will attend at their regular AM or PM time on the first day even though this is a Wednesday.  All other Wednesdays will be a dismissal time of 11:14 for all TK and K students (11:40 if eating lunch).

To make this a great start to the year, we have included some reminders about the first day(s) of school, so that we not only keep our students learning at high levels but also keep them safe as they arrive and exit campus:

Please follow all street and parking lot rules

  • There is no parking, pick-up or drop-off, along N. Olive in front of the school (red curb).
  • Only the nearest right lane may turn right into the main parking lot.
  • Be kind and patient by alternating cars turning right and left into the parking lot.
  • Drive slowly inside the parking lot.
  • When crossing inside the parking lot, use the designated crosswalk.
    • Please plan with your child where they should meet you at dismissal.
    • Parents can walk their child to their classroom for the first 3 days of school but not onto the playground.
  • At dismissal, the school gates will open at the bell to allow parents the opportunity to meet their child at their classroom throughout the year.

Back to School Night is Thursday, August 13th for 1st – 6th grades.

The principal’s message is at 5:15 in the cafeteria on Thursday, August 13th.

  *Classroom Visits are from 5:35 - 6:00 and 6:05 - 6:35 (Please attend one of these sessions)

*T.K. / Kindergarten Meet and Greet is on Tuesday, August 11th from 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm for AM classes and 2:30 – 3:00 for PM classes (Flyer included)

*TK/K Back to School Night is on Tuesday, August 11th at 5:00 pm.

 *TK-2nd Grade Special Day Classes' Back to School Night is on Thursday, August 13th
